Capability 04

Molded parts prepared for the next assembly.

When the program requires inspection, inserts, simple assembly, marking, labeling or dedicated packing, those steps should be defined with the molded part—not added as an uncontrolled handoff.

Available operations and acceptance criteria are confirmed per drawing, sample and production program.

One released condition

Connect post-molding work to the same part requirements.

Define orientation, mating parts, fixtures, visual criteria, labeling and packing before the lot is released. This reduces ambiguity between molding and customer receiving.

Finished supply

Specify the handoff, not only the molded geometry.

The scope is matched to the program and does not assume every operation is available for every part.

Trimming, drilling, marking or other project-approved steps where the process and acceptance can be defined.

Inspection + assembly

Critical checks and assembly work connected to the current drawing and approved sample.

Labeling + packing

Part identity, quantity, protection and customer-specific packing agreed before shipment.

Operation definition

Every post-molding step needs its own acceptance boundary.

Secondary work is included only after process fit, equipment or fixture needs, inspection method and commercial scope are confirmed. This prevents a successful molded part from becoming ambiguous during assembly or packing.

The specific operations remain project-defined. This structure shows the questions that must be closed before SRRP quotes or releases a finished component.

Trim + finish

Identify gate vestige, flash, edge, drilling, marking or cosmetic expectations.

Acceptance limits and inspection access are agreed before the work becomes part of the route.

Insert + assembly

Provide mating parts, orientation, sequence, fit target and handling requirements.

Fixtures, poka-yoke needs and project-specific checks are reviewed with the molded geometry.

Identity + labeling

Define part number, revision, lot, quantity, customer label and barcode needs.

Label data and placement follow the agreed order and packing instruction.

Protection + packing

Review surface protection, nesting, bagging, carton quantity and transport risk.

The finished part is judged in the condition the customer will actually receive.

Project boundary

SRRP does not represent every secondary process as an always-available in-house capability. Availability, subcontracting if any, validation responsibility and included evidence are confirmed in the written quotation.
